Safeguarding

Our policy for Safeguarding, Promoting a Safer Church, quotes Justin Welby, the Archbishop of Canterbury:

"But we are doing it because we are called to live in the justice of God, and that we will each answer to Him for our failures in this area. And that accountability is one that we must take with the utmost seriousness."

At St John the Evangelist we seek in humility to do our best to protect children and vulnerable adults from abuse, to act when concerns are raised and to care for those involved, in the knowledge that we can always learn and improve what we do.
