Children and Youth at St John’s

At St John the Evangelist every Sunday we run an all-in family service. The exception to this is First Sundays where a separate Sunday school, youth group and creche operates.
For creche-age children we have the labyrinth set up so children have room to move and play during the service whilst parents can still engage with the main service. We also have a quiet meeting room, where we are looking to connect a sound link to the main service – this is a space where parents can go if their child needs some down time.
On Sunday evenings we also run Sunday night youth for secondary age children from 7-8.30pm.
In addition, there are midweek activities for youth as follows:
•Pit Stop for years 6-9 and a small study group for years 10+ which run on alternate Wednesdays in the Cavern. Pit Stop is for young people from years 6-9 and is from 7-8pm and the study group is for youth in years 10+ and runs from 8.15-9.30pm.
•On Fridays from 4-6pm Youth café runs in the Cavern – this is a space with fun activities for young people to hang out with their friends.
Youth activities are term time only.
