Evening services on 2nd and 3rd Sundays in the month (e.g. 12th & 19th July)
normally take the form of Common Worship Evening Prayer.

Over August, the 6pm team will be doing things a bit differently.
On two Sundays we will have Compline (the first was on 2nd August),
on 9th August, we will be celebrating Mary Sumner Day (the founder of Mothers’ Union) with a choice of two services put together and broadcast by the central MU team,
and on 16th August an outdoor service thinking about the environment is planned (or online service if it's raining).
On 30th August there will be a Taizé service prepared by Jim Perryman at Leek Wootton.

As Government guidance to limit contagion of coronavirus has been slightly relaxed (see this link for general guidance and this link for places of worship), the Warwick Road church building will be open to limited numbers for quiet reflection and private prayer on Wednesdays 10am-2pm and Sundays 11am-3pm. For details and contacts, follow this link. Sadly no refreshments are available and government advice is that you limit your social interaction in these venues to your own household and up to one other, wherever possible. Strict adherence to social distancing is strongly advised and a distance of 2 metres should be kept from people you do not live with wherever possible.
It remains the case that all Church Services and activities – including Small Groups - are no longer meeting physically. Many groups and services are now using videoconferencing.
For a recording of our first streamed service from Andrew's study on Matthew 6:25-34,
Jesus' command, "Do Not Worry", follow this link and skip to 12 mins 50 secs into the video.
The service lasts 34 minutes.
We are looking at ways to keep connectivity and meeting occurring utilising technology. For more details, see a YouTube video by our vicar, Revd. Andrew Attwood: follow this link (3 mins 19 secs).
More to see at our Facebook page - no need to log in if you don't want to.

We’re a lively, loving church made up of family-style communities covering all ages, from babies to folk in their nineties and everything in between! Everyone is welcome and it’s an easy place to be and to belong.
What’s the best thing about St John’s?
It’s a great place to explore life and faith together in an amazing variety of ways. You’ll find people from all walks of life - employed and not employed; single, married, divorced. Some have kids, some are retired. We have fun together, see life as an adventure, work hard at caring for each other and do our best to make a positive difference in Kenilworth and the wider world. We hope you’d find us pretty normal!
What kind of Church are you?
We’re part of the Church of England and relate warmly to other local churches under the banner of ‘Love Kenilworth’. Whilst many of us gather at our Warwick Road site, we also have a sister church (Knights Meadow) which meets at Kenilworth School. Some of our communities have a more traditional feel, others include more informal styles of worship. We want to listen to what God is saying today, through the Bible and in other ways, and be open to the Holy Spirit to change us and the world around us.
What if I’m coming with kids?
We’re a rich mixture of children, youth and adults with dedicated teams to help young and old grow together in becoming like Jesus, making disciples and bringing real change. Our main services include special groups for children and youth most weeks and our Staff Team includes a Youth Worker.
